Jesus promised us a ‘more abundant life’ in John 10:10b, when He said, “I came that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly.” Despite this promise, very few Christians today experience this abundant life. Jesus, the Supreme Creator, came to reconcile us back to God the Father and as a result the Holy Spirit comes and lives within us. His divine presence should empower us to live the abundant life Jesus promised, yet many are deceived into equating it with the American dream. True abundance is found in a life of joy, contentment, and total commitment to Jesus, where self is denied, and we are used by the Holy Spirit to advance the Kingdom of Heaven and fulfilling our God given destiny
